The anime series My Home Hero, which was adapted from a manga, finished airing a few months ago and attracted many anime fans with its unique plot. It depicts how a father is willing to commit crimes for the sake of his daughter’s safety and security.
My Home Hero, a manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki, is getting a live-action TV series and movie adaptation. The TV series will premiere on the “Dramaism” block of MBS and TBS on October 24, while the movie will be released in Japanese theaters in spring 2024. MBS has released a promotional video and the main cast.

The creators of this manga took a one-month break to recharge their energy before entering the climax of the story. The manga is scheduled to resume publication in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine issue 40 on September 4, 2023.
Yamakawa and Asaki launched the manga in Weekly Young Magazine in May 2017. The 21st volume of the manga was released on June 6. The manga went on hiatus after completing the second part in October 2021, and continued with the third and final part in June 2022. The last arc is set seven years after the second part.
This manga is licensed by Kodansha USA Publishing, and it started to release it digitally on February 28th.
The manga focuses on an employee who has a dependable wife and a college-aged daughter who is a bit rebellious. But he has a happy life in his own way. Until one day he finds out that his daughter has been beaten up, and he plunges into a dangerous world to protect his family.
This manga has also been adapted into an anime that premiered on April 2, 2023 on Tokyo MX and BS TV. Crunchyroll streamed the anime simultaneously with its broadcast, and started airing its English dub on April 16, 2023.

The manga I’m Standing on a Million Lives, also created by Yamakawa and Akinari Nao, and was adapted into a TV anime series that premiered in October 2020. The second season of the anime series debuted in July 2021. Kodansha USA also publishes the manga in English.
Asaki is the illustrator of the manga Psychometrer and Psychometrer Eiji, written by Yuma Ando. He also drew the manga IWGP: Denshi no Hoshi for the Ikebukuro West Gate Park franchise.
