Crunchyroll’s explanation of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen:
It was an unforgettable spring for the two strongest ones. Itadori Yuji hosted Ryomen Sukuna in his body in June 2018. Okkotsu Yuta freed Orimoto Rika from her curse in December 2017. And now it is spring of 2006. Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru, two unrivaled jujutsu sorcerers from the High Jujutsu School, received two missions from Tengen, an immortal known as the guardian of the jujutsu community.
One of the missions was to escort and eliminate “The Star Plasma Vessel”, Amanai Riko, a girl who was chosen as the best match to merge with Tengen. So they both started their escort mission to preserve the continuity of the jujutsu community, but a killer who called himself Fushiguro interfered in an attempt to kill The Star Plasma Vessel. The past of Gojo and Geto, who would later be known as the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and the most evil curse user, will soon be revealed…
The anime has a new director, Shōta Goshozono, who directed episodes 8 and 17 of Jujutsu Kaisen. He replaces Sunghoo Park. The cast also welcomes two new members: Anna Nagase as Riko Amanai, and Takehito Koyasu as Toji Fushiguro.
The opening theme song is “Ao no Sumika” (Blue House) by Tatsuya Kitani, and the ending theme song is by “Akari” (Lantern).
The anime series Jujutsu Kaisen premiered in October 2020 and ran for 24 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside of Asia simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast, and also provided English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German dubs.
The anime film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released in Japan in December 2021, and also screened with English subtitles and dub in the US and Canada in March 2022. King Gnu performed the song “Sakayume” (Contradictory Dream) as the ending theme for the anime film Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
